This magnificent place is located in the Ceska Lipa region in North Bohemia. It is well-known as a busy tourist area set in a beautiful nature. The Stare Splavy recreation centre lies by the Machovo jezero lake. The lake itself was established by the emperor Karel IV as a water-reservoir in 1366. The lake is lined by sandy beaches and is suitable for bathing and all water sports. The tourists can take a steamship or hire a boat.
